Summer Camp
Hacker Dojo Summer Camp is a hands-on, creativity-driven program where students explore technology, design, and innovation through interactive classes. Campers can dive into Game Design, Fashion and Textiles, 3D Design and Making, Entrepreneurship, and LEGO Robotics Space Camp. Each course is built to spark curiosity, build real-world skills, and encourage kids 12 - 17 years old to create, experiment, and bring their ideas to life in a fun, collaborative environment.

Each session runs 3 hours โ€” mornings (9:30โ€“12:30) or afternoons (1:00โ€“4:00).

Game Design with Scratch
This STEM class is an introduction to Game Design using Scratch software to teach students about real-world game design concepts in a fun and exciting way. Students will learn design concepts, coding actions such as loops, variables, functions and pseudocode The students will create an account and can download and play their games at home. Each day students will make a new game culminating in a final game day challenge. Availability is limited.

3D Print & Design
This session is designed for newcomers, makers, and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to learn not only how to create 3D printed products, but also how to turn their ideas into a brand people recognize and connect with. Students will create a TinkerCad account to begin designing projects while learning the fundamentals of product development, branding, and presentation. Throughout the course, weโ€™ll guide students through the essential tools and programs needed for modeling, slicing, printing, and building a marketable product identity. What to Expect:
  • Beginner-friendly introduction to 3D printing technology; no experience necessary!
  • Hands-on tutorials covering basic 3D modeling and product design concepts
  • Guidance on creating a brand around your 3D printed product
  • Introduction to logo design and visual brand identity
  • Product market analysis to help students understand target audience

Fashion & Textile Design
Are you into fashion? Interested learning how to make your own clothing? Just want to be able to mend your favorite shirt or hem your favorite pants? This class is for you! You will learn all the steps of machine sewing from Sewing 101 to Designing your Own piece for our Runway show. Sewing machines and tools will be available. Some fabric is available, for a unique design plan to bring your own fabric. If you would like to bring your own tools and sewing machine, they would be most welcome. What you will learn:

LEGO Robotics Space Camp
This exhilarating class is teamwork focused with an emphasis on Solar System Space projects. Students will see the future while learning about the Moon, Artemis Mission, Mars and our Solar System. Students will be building and programming robots using LEGOยฎ Robotics Systems to complete an out of this world space missions and challenges. This class will teach students teamwork, project planning and documentation skills. Students will learn the essential 21st century skills needed to become the pioneering minds of tomorrow all while having fun with daily activities and game challenges. Availability is limited.

VEX IQ Engineering & Game Challenge
Itโ€™s Your Future โ€“ Learn about STEM, engineering, and robotics. Letโ€™s get started learning about VEX IQ, the controller, and the robot brain. Take the next step in your robotics experience and expand your skills building and programming robots using the VEX IQ Robotics System. Students will learn programming skills and engineering design with the VEX IQ system using motors, touch, color, bump and distance sensors. Students will learn to build and code several different VEX IQ robots from kits provided. Students will gain teamwork skills while sharing a VEX IQ robotics kit and computer to complete daily game challenges. This class is suitable preparation for students interested in VEX IQ Tournaments. Availability is limited.

Game Design with Godot
Build your own video game in just one week with Godot 4! In this hands-on class, youโ€™ll go from beginner to game creatorโ€”designing characters, coding mechanics, and publishing a playable game. Bring your own computer and a basic understanding of programming and leave with a game you can share. No experience with game engines? No problemโ€”just bring your ideas and get ready to create! Availability is limited.

Robotics SumoBot Engineering

This class will teach students teamwork, project planning and documentation skills. Prop Making for Cosplay & Movies
Are you interested in designing your own props for fun and adventure? Learn engineering design while making your props for cosplay, movie making or just for fun. Students will have an opportunity to use a variety of materials to expand their artistic and engineering talents to make a prosthetic piece, a cosplay item, or a movie prop that you will get to take home at the end of the week. Many different and unique materials will be used including textiles, 3d printing, upcycled materials. Previous classes in 3D printing and Fashion & Textiles recommended but not required. Limited availability.
